"Starlighters" Cruise Performance - 2007

The "Starlighters" Dance Company set sail on July 18th - 22nd aboard Carnival's M.S. Fascination. The students performed in the Palace Theatre to a standing room only crowd.

The students, ranging in age from 4 - 21 years of age, entertained the audience with 8 routines in Tap/ Pointe/ Jazz/ Lyrical/ & the crowds favorite - Tahitian. (Student's performed in authentic Tahitian Costumes).

The girls in full costume for each routine showed off their talents with the "Can-Can" (Ballet & Pointe) , Broadways "Cats", "Good Morning" from Singing in the Rain, Still Rock & Roll to Me, Shaking the Blues Away, Vahini Tahiti, Proud Mary & the finale which featured all 29 dancers, performing a 60's medley.

Some members of this dance company and past alumni have performed in Europe, Hawaii, & Walt Disney World, however director Yvonne Ambrosio & Dawn Belle felt that this trip and performance was by far one of the most enjoyable.

At the end of the show, Miss Yvonne, Miss Dawn & their student's were honored to be informed by Carnival's Stage Director that they were one of the best performance groups that the cruise line has seen in quite a while.

The "Starlighters" were also thrilled to be applauded and congratulated where ever they went on the ship that evening by passengers who attended their performance.

Students also got "down time" and were able to tour Key West in Florida and snorkel & powersail in Cozumel.

Members of the "Starlighters" who performed on the Cruise were, Alexa Aucoin, Marissa Aucoin, Tara Aucoin, Samantha Belle, Nicole Bien, Marissa Campione, Natalie Cicero, Victoria Eayres, Megan Ehnat, Jessica Ehnat, Katie Fudacz, Kelly Gibson, Jessica Hauff, Nikki Iacovelli, Samantha Jozwik, Courtney Hoffman, Alyssa Laferrera, Alexandra Long, Tracy McManus, Meghan Mudrick, Lindsay Petro, Jacalyn Sickels, Maryann Slater, Lauren Synarski, Megan Synarski, Nicole Tenebruso, Amy Wysoczynski, Kelly Zygler & Nicole Zygler.

The "Starlighters" will be performing September 10th for the Edison Townships Family Day, as well as December 4th for the Edison Arts Society annual Holiday Extravaganza.
